| 1976-1980 | E. J. Cox Company increases peanut stock position; sells to shellers and roasters (from raw materials to finished goods). |
| 1986 | E. J. Cox Company purchases Sachs Peanuts; moves facility to Clarkton, NC. |
| 1992 | First In-shell peanut company to install 100% automated continuous flow salting system. |
| 1993 | Rotary dryer installed (superior quality). |
| 1999 | Sam Cox enters business (fourth generation). |
| 2003 | Government eliminates Peanut Growing allotments. Growing shifts south to NC and SC. |

and leasing farm land for crops, buying and storing farmers' peanuts at harvest,
and marketing Virginia type peanuts throughout the U.S. Sachs Peanuts continues as an In-shell peanut leader by supplying the best quality in-shell peanuts available and providing solutions to our customers. |
